TRACTOR PULL

Hey fam!!!

So this week has been FULL of lessons learned. Some are pretty funny. Like for example: There is no graceful way to go about riding on a bicycle in a skirt.... good thing no one i knew could watch and laugh as my skirt gets caught in the chain and fall face first into some lovely gravel! Hey that's why we wear helmets right?! :)

So i know what you're all thinking, i thought you have a car? yes we do :) but i was on exchanges this last weekend with the BG biking sisters (the sisters who cover the town) and i thought that would be my only time on bikes, but President called this morning and said that there were going to be some switching up with transfers tomorrow. I'll still be in BG. with sister Caldwell, but she's been called to also serve as a Sister Training leader (STL) comparable to a ZL for an elder. so every week we'll be on exchanges for a total of about 3 days where i'll actually be in the biking area! woot! this is the only area in our whole mission that sisters are on bikes, so it'll be fun! :)

This weekend though was the infamous TRACTOR PULL!! we heard countless horror stories from members and they along with the ZL's told us we had to be inside our apt this weekend by 4pm. The national tractor pull competition is held in BG each summer. it's not anything amazing, just a bunch of tractors. but i guess its a big excuse for people to get drunk and since i was on bikes at the time and they didn't want us out riding in the streets while they're driving we were sent back to our apt. :)

But sister Caldwell last Tuesday went to the Cleveland conference! We were on the turnpike driving home and there was a ton of construction and so it was single lane, then a couple semi's happened to get into an accident. so we spent our whole day in traffic in some place that we didn't know where in the world we were. somehow we made it back to BG :)

Okay so M. is actually the big update for this week!  On thursday we were teaching him about the gospel of Jesus Christ (faith, repentance, baptism, hg., and endure to the end) and somehow related it to his cool looking swords and toys and stuff. and he told us that the other day during one of his 'duels' he received his answer! I know- i was a little worried that that was how he received his answer. But Heavenly Father knows best how to answer each of His children, and that was just the case for him. But he's going to be baptized on September 28th! :) And he is so excited! :)

B. and T.: :) B. gets baptized next saturday! So excited!! :) and t..... (GAHHHHHHH) on thursday we were again teaching the WoW. and the Spirit was so strong. and here is tom holding an unlit cigarette in his hands (he always holds one or smokes one during our lessons. and just smells it..)  I then just asked, "T. do you believe in miracles?" he said he did, and then i said "If you set down that cigarette and promise to god ot never pick it up agian, i promise you that he will find a way for you, and you can quit today!" so far he's been doing alright. so hopefully he doesn't fall back into temptation. :)

ahhh  theres so much i wnat to tell you, but unfortuneately i need to go now :( but i'll try to include it all in next weeks letter :)

and the pictures that I'm attaching are my amazing district!! :) The sisters: BG West (us) BG Biking and BG North and the Perrysburg Elders. orem high friends: does elder Cross look familiar!!!!??? and byu friends: does Elder Willmore look famililar?!?!? :) ahahh good ole utah county!!! :)

I love you all so very much and I hope you have a fabulous week!

Sister Taylor Byers
